I was halfway up the Back Bay hill last Friday when I had to stop for a pedestrian.

If you know that incline, you know the “Dead Stop” is a nightmare…

I wasn't “training” anymore.

I was just surviving.

I could taste the salt from my sweat, my lungs were screaming, and I was clicking through gears that didn't exist, trying to find some momentum.

I was standing on the pedals, moving slower than a walk, just trying to keep the bike upright.

I see this happen in Irvine offices every single afternoon.

By 3:00 PM, most high-performers are at a “Dead Stop.” They’ve skipped the morning movement to finish a slide deck or answer emails, and now their “internal battery” is flashing red.

When you’re red-lining on an empty tank:

  • You aren't leading. You’re reacting.
  • You aren't “efficient.” You’re just a mannequin at your desk.
  • And the worst part? You’re a ghost when you walk through your front door at 6:00 PM.

In my Fitness ROI workshops, I don't talk about gym selfies. I show teams how to trade 30 minutes of “Pattern Interrupt” movement for 2 hours of pure focus. We treat your team’s energy like hardware.

If the battery is dead, the software doesn't matter.

Physical capacity is the only “currency” that actually pays for your focus. If you’re bankrupt by mid-afternoon, you aren't just losing time … you're losing your edge.

I’m booking two more workshops for local firms in Q2. If you want to help your team stop the “3:00 PM leak” so they can actually be present for their families when the laptop closes, reply with “ROUTINE.”

Let’s get your team off the “dead stop” grind.

There's nothing quite like the silence right before the cannon goes off at an Ironman 70.3.

But the real race didn’t start at the water's edge. It started years ago when a father decided to stop being the “Soft CEO” and start being the “Chief Example.”

I remember when Victor reached out to me years ago. He had a big goal. He wanted to finish an Ironman. He knew his swim was shaky and his “engine” needed a total overhaul after years of putting the business first.

At the time, his son Andy was much younger. He was just a kid watching from the sidelines.

But Victor didn't just talk about grit.

He showed it.

He did those lonely 5:00 AM sessions when the house was freezing. He built “Household Guardrails” that kept him away from the office donuts and on track with his training.

It wasn't always easy.

There were days he wanted to hit snooze.

But he stayed consistent.

Fast forward to today…

Andy isn't watching from the sidelines anymore. He's standing right there next to his dad and their cousin Dominique. They're all ready to jump into that cold water together.

Andy had the courage to step up because he saw the blueprint his dad laid out for him over the last four years.

In my 22 years of coaching, I've seen why most people fail. They try to be a “health hermit.” They try to white-knuckle a solo diet while the rest of the house eats pizza and cereal.

That's a losing battle…

Victor showed us a better way. When you change your own habits, you change your family's DNA. You aren't just losing a few pounds. You're showing the people you love what's possible.

Please join me in wishing Victor, Andy, and Dominique a fantastic race. They've already won because they're hitting that water as a team.

It’s Gametime!

Hi Reader,

I recently spoke with a high-level attorney who felt like she was failing at home. She's the family's “Chief Everything Officer,” constantly managing the career, the kids, and the house.

She assumed the reason she was “zoning out” at dinner was that she wasn't disciplined enough. She thought she needed to “force” a 9:00 PM workout to finally see results.

The Reality: You aren't lazy. You're just exhausted.

You're carrying the invisible tax of constant decision fatigue. When you're the last person on your own to-do list, your health becomes a crisis you have to manage rather than a system that supports you.

In my program, we don't give you more work. We get your entire family on board. We move you from being the tired “Manager” of everyone's schedule to being a participant in a household that actually supports you.

By mastering a few simple daily habits, you stop “numbing out” with a glass of wine at night and start reclaiming your identity.

You deserve to feel at peace in your own home, not like a zombie running on fumes.

What's the one thing most likely to derail your peace this week?

Reply and tell me.

I'd love to help you build a preventative strategy for it.

PS: I'm currently teaching Jagger that “high-level physics” mostly involves seeing how fast Kona runs when he drops a slice of cheddar. If you want a system that puts your energy on autopilot so you can actually enjoy your success click here to join our waitlist.

Dave eventually realized that the “Boardroom Betrayal” wasn't a mindset problem: it was a bandwidth problem.

Once we plugged his energy leaks and fixed his Survival Chain, his Command returned.

He didn't have to “try” to be a leader anymore.

He just was.

When your hardware is sound, you stop reacting to life and start directing it.

But the real win?

It wasn't the Q3 presentation.

It was last Tuesday.

Dave sent me a text: “Usually, by 7:00 PM, I'm a zombie. I'm physically home, but I'm still ‘at the office' in my head. Last night, I actually had the juice to do the voices for my son’s bedtime story. I wasn't checking my watch. I was just there.”

This is what I call System Integrity.

It’s when your body finally matches the success of your career.

You’ve won the Money Game. Now it's time to stop losing the Life Game.

The first step isn't a 90-minute workout. It's a 90-second diagnostic.

Let’s find the 3:00 PM glitch so you can walk through your front door tonight as The Pilot your family deserves.

P.S. Courtney and I just finished Jagger’s nursery. We built it with “Operational Excellence” in mind: everything has a place so the system stays clean. Your body needs that same infrastructure. Start here: [Check My Charge Level]

Dave didn't need another win on a spreadsheet…

He needed to actually be there when his son pulled on his hand at Disneyland.

Usually, Dave would be at the park with his body, but his brain would be in a “Thought Loop” about work. He was a passenger in his own life.

By using the Peace-Wire, Dave learned to “decouple” the stress train. He created The Breathing Room. For the first time in years, he wasn't just observing his life: he was in it.

But here's the engineering reality: One afternoon at Disneyland is a “beta test.”

If you don't have the permanent infrastructure to choose your reactions, your body stays in a chronic state of “Alert.” In that state, your metabolism stalls.

Your body refuses to burn fuel because it thinks it needs to store every calorie for a coming war.

If you’re red-lining, you aren't just stressed. You’re metabolically “locked.”

[Take The 3:00 PM Energy Leak Audit]

We’ll audit your stress levels and your unique hardware. It’s time to see if your Peace-Wire is actually active or if your system has been running on “Emergency Fuel” for far too long.

P.S. I’m currently teaching Jagger how to kick the ball. It’s a lot of “failed” reps, but he doesn't have a “What If” loop slowing him down. He’s just pure, efficient hardware. I’m trying to get Dave back to that level of efficiency. Are you ready to see where you’re leaking? [Run System Diagnostics]
