Hey Reader,

I've got some exciting news to share about a recent experiment!

I've been doing deep work on my breathing lately. Not to win a meditation contest, but to find a cure for that 3:00 PM wall where you feel completely drained and checked out.

That brings me to the other day. I'd just finished my swim and walked into the sauna at Lifetime Fitness.

The aroma of the eucalyptus scent immediately hit me.

It smelled incredible. As the heat set in and the sweat poured down my back, I was completely present in my five minutes of peace.

I looked down at my Garmin watch and timed my breath. I visualized my diaphragm moving up and down like an internal elevator. Aha. The deep breath happened completely naturally.

I was incredibly calm.

But the next morning, I checked my Oura ring app and it dinged my daily score. It thought something was wrong with me because my resting breathing rate got too low.

Rats…

My human hardware was completely optimized. But here's the massive failure I have to admit…

I completely broke the very next day.

By 3:00 PM, the reality of the day hit. My son was melting down, the inbox was still full, and I was running on absolute fumes.

I was acting exactly like a burnt out drone. My chest was tight, I was red-lining, and I completely forgot the calm I had built in the sauna.

That's when a terrifying thought hit me.

I've been a personal trainer for 22 years. I'm a NASM Master Trainer. I literally hold an Oxygen Advantage Breathwork certification. Yet the second my house got chaotic, I was chest-breathing like a panicked amateur.

If I'm getting this wrong, it's no wonder so many high-achieving women feel like they're giving their families nothing but the leftover scraps of their energy.

What if our theory on overwhelm is completely backward?

What if the dysfunction of our breathing is actually causing the daily anxiety and distress we feel?

I dug into the data and found a massive “circuit breaker” that instantly snaps you out of “Mom-Bot” mode so you can actually enjoy your evening. I'll reveal it on Thursday.
